As pups has the propensity to go for potty and urination after food so it is recommended not to give food and water to them after 10:00 p.m. It is also suggested to provide proper bedding to the dogs crate and before you go for sleep set it up in the bedroom near you for your dachshund.

Or else, it can make your puppy do bed wetting also. Keep his crate next to your bed as he will feel comfortable. Most of the times, they desire to go out immediately after they wake up. Take him to the same potty area to familiarize him and offer rewards as taught in the training methods.
